Scot Siegel operated Siegel Planning Services, LLC from 2004 to 2020 before the firm merged with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) in 2020. Prior to Siegel Planning, Scot was a senior planner and office manager for two large architecture and engineering firms in Portland, Lake Oswego and Bend, Oregon. He has over 30 years of planning and management experience and has previously served as a city planner and planning director for jurisdictions in Oregon and Washington, and as staff planner with 1000 Friends of Oregon. Scot has served close to one hundred communities in seven western states. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Planners (inducted into the AICP College of Fellows on April 26, 2020) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography with Honors from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. Scot’s work has received awards and commendations from the American Society of Consulting Planners, the American Planning Association, Western Planners, Oregon Main Street Program, Smart Growth Idaho, among others. Scot is a former board member with the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association and Western Planning Resources, Inc. He has also served as an article reviewer for the American Planning Association AICP Practicing Planner and currently serves on the Planning Accreditation Board’s Site Visit Committee for graduate planning programs. Debra Siegel, Senior Associate has 30 years of professional experience in technical journalism, marketing, and public administration. She supported Siegel Planning with public communications and technical editing services. Debra has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Journalism and a master’s in Public Administration. She previously served as Technical Editor with a large architectural and engineering firm and was Public Affairs/Citizen Information Coordinator for the City of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Debra is also the owner of Kumon Math and Reading of Lake Grove, an after-school learning center serving over 200 students weekly since 2003.
