About Us

Scot Siegel, AICP, LEED AP, President/Principal scot@siegelplanning.com
Before establishing Siegel Planning in 2004, Scot Siegel was a senior planner and office manager for two large architecture and engineering firms in Portland, Lake Oswego and Bend, Oregon. He has over 25 years of planning and management experience, and has previously served as a city planner and planning director for jurisdictions in Oregon and Washington, and as staff planner with 1000 Friends of Oregon. Since beginning his consulting work in 1995, Scot has served over 60 communities in seven western states. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geography with Honors from Oregon State University, and a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. He is a recipient of the American Society of Consulting Planners Smart Growth-Sustainable Planning Award, and is a former board member of the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association. Scot currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Western Planning Resources, and is an article reviewer for the American Planning Association AICP Practicing Planner. In addition, he serves on the APA/Planning Accreditation Board's Site Visit Committee and is a past member of the City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission. Stacey Goldstein is a planner with 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors. She serves as the contract city planner for Banks, Oregon, and leads complex land use and transportation planning projects, including development code rewrites, land use feasibility studies, and land use case reviews for a variety applicants and local governments. She has a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from Binghamton University. Before joining Siegel Planning, Stacey managed her own land use consulting firm in Portland, Oregon for 9 years and served as a subconsultant on numerous Siegel Planning projects. Previously, she was a Senior Planner with Oregon City and a Project Planner with Otak, Inc.

Debra Siegel has over 22 years of professional experience in technical journalism, marketing, and public administration. She supports the firm with public communications and technical editing. Debra has a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Journalism and a Master's of Public Administration. She previously served as Technical Editor with a large architectural and engineering firm, and was Public Affairs/Citizen Information Coordinator for the City of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Debra is also the owner of Kumon Math and Reading of Lake Grove, an after-school learning center serving over 200 students weekly since 2003.
