Scot SiegelScot Siegel, AICP LEED AP, Principal. scot@siegelplanning.com

Before establishing Siegel Planning in 2004, Scot Siegel was a senior planner and office manager for two large architecture and engineering firms in Lake Oswego and Bend, Oregon. He has previously served as a city planner for jurisdictions in Oregon and Washington, and as staff planner with 1000 Friends of Oregon. Since beginning his consulting work in 1996, he has served over 60 communities in seven western states. Scot holds a Bachelors Degree in Geography with Honors from Oregon State University, and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. He is a recipient of the American Society of Consulting Planners Smart Growth-Sustainable Planning Award, and is a former board member of the Oregon Chapter of the American Planning Association. Scot currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Western Planning Resources, and is an article reviewer for the American Planning Association AICP Practicing Planner. He is also a past member of the City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission. In addition to his work as a planner, Siegel is an author and award-winning poet. In celebration of Oregon's Sesquicentennial, the Oregon State Library and Poetry Northwest selected his book "Some Weather" as one of 150 Outstanding Oregon Poetry Books, one for each year of statehood. Siegel currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Friends of William Stafford and the Advisory Board for Squaw Valley Academy, a private school in the mountains of northern California.

Ms. Siegel has over 20 years of professional experience in technical journalism, marketing, and public administration. She holds a Bachelors degree in Technical Journalism and a Masters in Public Administration. She previously served as Technical Editor with a large architectural and engineering firm, and was Public Affairs/Citizen Information Coordinator for the City of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Ms. Siegel supports the firm with public communications and technical editing.
